Settled ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. Settled is a system of record for bets between friends. We never hold your stakes, never sell your data, and never share your bets outside the people you bet with unless you make them public.
What we collect
- Account info: email, username, display name, avatar, and any bio you add.
- Bet activity: the bets you create, accept, settle, and dispute, plus comments and reactions.
- Payment metadata: we use Stripe for lock-in fees and subscriptions. We never see or store full card numbers.
- Device & usage: standard logs (IP, browser, pages viewed) for security and product analytics.
How we use it
- Run the product: show you your bets, friends, groups, and honor score.
- Send transactional email (settlement reminders, dispute notices, password reset).
- Process payments through Stripe.
- Improve the product (aggregate analytics only, never individual data sold).
Who sees your bets
Bets default to private — visible only to participants. You can mark a bet receipt as public, in which case it appears on your public profile and may be indexed by search engines. You can opt your profile out of public discovery in Settings.
Third parties
- Stripe: payments and subscriptions.
- Lovable Cloud (Supabase): database, auth, file storage.
- Email delivery: our verified sender domain (notify.playsettled.com).
We do not sell your personal data. Ever.
Your rights
You can export or delete your account from Settings at any time. Email hello@playsettled.com for any data request. We respond within 30 days.
Children
Settled is not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
Changes
If we make material changes we'll notify active users by email at least 30 days before they take effect.
