Lock-in fees on bets

When you create a cash bet of $10 or more, both sides pay a lock-in fee at bet creation (3.3% per side on Free, 1.65% per side on Pro). The fee is refunded automatically only in these situations:

Refunds land back on the original payment method within 5–10 business days. Settled covers the Stripe processing fee on these refunds — you get the full amount back.

After both sides have locked in

Once both sides have locked in and the receipt is live, lock-in fees are non-refundable. Our job is to record the bet, run the honor scoring, host the dispute and jury process, and notify both sides on the settlement date. We deliver on that — collecting the stake from the other party is between you and them.

Note: when a goodwill or discretionary refund is issued, the non-refundable payment processing fee (~3–6%) is deducted from the refunded amount.

Pro subscription

Pro is $4.99/month or $39/year. You can cancel any time from Settings → Billing. You keep Pro features through the end of your current billing period; we do not refund partial months or unused time on annual plans, with the following exceptions:

Patron tip-ups

Patron tip-ups (extra fee on top of the standard lock-in) are voluntary and follow the same refund rules as the lock-in fee they're attached to.

How to request a refund

Email hello@playsettled.com with your account email and the bet or charge in question. We respond within 2 business days.

Chargebacks

Please contact support before initiating a chargeback. A chargeback that turns out to be unfounded will result in account suspension and a permanent honor score penalty.
